Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 7, 2026

TL;DR

  • All tools run locally in your browser — we do not receive your colors or images.
  • No account is required and we do not collect personal data through normal use.
  • We may add privacy-friendly analytics or advertising in the future; this page will be updated if that changes.

WebColorTools (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates webcolortools.com. This policy explains what happens — and what does not happen — to information when you use our site.

How the tools work

Every color tool on WebColorTools runs client-side in your web browser. Conversions, palette generation, contrast checks, image color picking, and similar features are performed on your device using JavaScript. We do not operate a backend service that processes, stores, or analyzes the colors, images, or text you enter into the tools.

What we do not collect

Under normal use of the tools, we do not collect:

  • Color values, palettes, gradients, or other input you type or pick
  • Images you upload for tools such as the image color picker or palette extractor
  • Names, email addresses, or account credentials (no account is required)
  • Payment information (the site is free)

Because processing happens in your browser, your creative work stays on your device unless you choose to copy, save, or share it elsewhere yourself.

Server logs

Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically record standard technical data when you load a page — for example, your IP address, browser type, referring URL, and the date and time of the request. We use this information only to keep the site available and secure, not to inspect the content of your tool usage.

Analytics

We do not currently use analytics services on WebColorTools. We may introduce privacy-friendly, aggregated analytics in the future to understand general traffic patterns (such as which pages are visited). If we do, we will update this policy and aim to minimize data collection.

Advertising

WebColorTools does not currently display advertisements. We may serve ads through Google AdSense or a similar provider in the future. If advertising is enabled, Google or other ad partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads. You can read about how Google uses data in advertising at Google’s Advertising Policies. We will update this policy before turning ads on.

Cookies and local storage

The site may store preferences locally in your browser — for example, light or dark theme — using local storage. These values never leave your device. If we enable advertising or analytics in the future, additional cookies may apply as described in the relevant sections above.

Children’s privacy

WebColorTools is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the latest version. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
